Medieval Lithuania

Day 1: Upon arrival at Vilnius airport / bus or train station, you will be met by your professional driver for a private transfer to your hotel. Check in at a hotel and enjoy a free afternoon before meeting your tour leader and fellow travelers in the evening for a welcome meeting.

Day 2: Today, after breakfast, we will soak up medieval Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, on a morning walking tour, which takes in highlights including UNESCO listed Old Town; the most important church in Lithuania, Vilnius Cathedral; a masterpiece of the late Gothic period, St. Anna’s Church; one of the oldest and most famous establishments of higher education in Eastern and Central Europe, The University of Vilnius; and the world-famous Gates of Dawn. Afterwards, we will make a stop at the masterpiece of the 17th-century St. Peter and Paul Church and move on to the medieval town of Trakai. We will visit the legendary Trakai Castle (entrance included), located on the shores of a picturesque lake and enjoy a well-deserved light lunch. After a leisurely tour, we will head back to Vilnius.

Day 3: Baltic countries have a number of unique castles, palaces and manors, built during different centuries. All of them are an important part of history with unique stories to tell. Today we invite you to experience a real medieval atmosphere while listening to meaningful stories of Lithuanian Manors. The harmony between magnificent nature, fascinating histories and local cuisine is looking forward to welcoming you! We are going to visit a few Lithuanian Manors and enjoy some local delicacy. After the tour, transfer back to Vilnius.

Day 4: Your tour concludes today after checking-out of your hotel with a private transfer to an airport / bus or train station.
